The Belvedere di S. Lorenzo, given this nickname in 2019, dominates the city, giving visitors a wonderful and fascinating vantage point unlike any other, and spectacular any time of the day, especially at sunset.
It can be reached in two ways: with the very convenient public lifts you can access from Piazza Municipio, which allow you to reach the top of the Belvedere in just one minute, or by taking a walk along the route consisting of around 400 steps. This second option – although not recommended if you are not used to walking – is definitely fascinating and unusual, if you feel up to the challenge. Along the way, you will be surrounded by the typical, authentic Amalfi setting, made up of narrow streets, panoramic views at different heights and characteristic corners.
