AN EASTER AT THE ANANTARA CONVENTO DI AMALFI GRAND HOTEL

Anantara Convento di Amalfi Grand Hotel, located in an exceptional location, a 13th-century Capuchin monastery overlooking the Amalfi cliffs, reopened its doors on March 15 and for Easter is offering a program full of unprecedented events to discover the charms of the Hotel and the Amalfi Coast, aimed at guests of the Hotel and beyond.
For those seeking relaxation and moments of well-being, theAnantara Spa, the brand’s strength and the second signature Anantara Spa in Italy, offers the Body & Soul Ritual, which includes a wonderful candle massage to soothe joint and muscle pain, followed by a sublime Valmont signature facial. Or, the Revitalizing Easter Ritual, which aims to restore body and spirit in celebration of spring, harnessing the power of local products through a body scrub with essential oils to moisturize and soothe, followed by an aromatherapy massage that stimulates the lymphatic, circulatory and nervous systems. Lemon foot ritual and facial treatment is included.
On the other hand, for those who wish to indulge in a’gourmet experience, Anantara Convento di Amalfi Executive Chef Claudio Lanuto has studied for the Restaurant Dei Cappuccini a menu for Easter lunch on March 31 to be enjoyed facing the sea: a selection of local breads, followed by slow-cooked lamb, wild herb ravioli, roasted peas and pork belly, barbecued rabbit, and typical Campanian desserts. For the occasion, the chef has also planned a revisited Easter classic: the dark chocolate Easter Egg decorated with the dried rind of the Sfusato amalfitano lemon, which will be available at breakfast, in addition to many other special and delicious surprises.

There is no shortage of activities designed for the whole family, such as the Egg hunt in the Convent garden during Easter Sunday, from 11 a.m. or the “Easter in the Convent” cooking class with Chef Lanuto at Ristorante Dei Cappuccini, where you will learn how to cook sweet Casatiello, a traditional Easter bread from Sorrento, and how to decorate it in the traditional style with icing and lemons, as well as discover the importance of “mother yeast”-the miracle ingredient- When: Thursday, March 28 and Monday, April 1, from 4 to 5 p.m.

Or, again, the “Gardening for mini chefs,” an interactive workshop in the Convent garden with local experts to get children in touch with nature, learning about where ingredients come from and techniques for growing and harvesting fresh fruits and vegetables When: Saturday, March 30, from 11:00 – 11:30 a.m.

Excursion to Valle Delle Ferriere, a magical trek suitable for the whole family to admire the scenic sites of Ferriere Valley and experience firsthand a unique microclimate, protected by rock walls and home to rare ferns, exotic orchids and the “spectacled salamander.” A path along the river that passes the old paper mills and provides a view of the picturesque Lauritano Castle.
