St. Andrew the Apostle is the patron saint of the City of Amalfi, which celebrates him twice a year: on June 27 and November 30.

The Nov. 30 feast, which follows the June 27 feast that Amalfi celebrates motu proprio, falls on the day the Catholic Church calendar celebrates the apostle. The Feast of St. Andrew is the most beloved event for Amalfi residents and nonresidents alike. The effigy of the saint is accompanied in procession through the streets of Amalfi, giving the faithful and visitors moments of excitement and discovery of the town’s most hidden and oldest heart.
