Alexander’s cannot be called a job, but a real passion that was born and grew with him year after year and that we are sure will accompany him throughout his life.
Loving the land
Alessandro is a young boy from the wonderful village of Atrani. From an early age his parents, both professors, brought him around exploring and learning, up and down the paths of the Lattari Mountains, visiting all the hidden corners. Over the years, walking the trails has become a philosophy of life that has led Alexander to make his greatest passion his job with the goal of making his land known and valued.
It is certainly thanks to the travels he made with Mom and Dad, including around Italy at a time when people traveled (and knew) without the help of Google; but it is also thanks to his strong connection to the land.
A passion handed down
“…When I was three years old, I went to the Ziro Tower for the first time, and my mom used to tell me stories about Joan of Aragon…,” but not only that, Alessandro tells us how important and special it was for him to grow up in the family gardens and chestnut grove: “…They helped me create even more of a bond with my land!”
Passionate about geography and local history, he continued his studies as it became increasingly clear in his mind what would become his life, full of adventure and discovery. Today, Alexander manages Amalfi Coast Hikes, a hiking service that offers fun tours along the most famous trails on the Amalfi Coast, Sorrento Peninsula and Capri.
Taking part in one of its tours is among the things to do on your next trip to Amalfi. Beauty, knowledge and adventure are assured!
