Presentation of the new edition of Salvatore Quasimodo’s ‘Elogio di Amalfi’ by Vito Pinto
56 years later and on the 120th anniversary of his birth, in order to preserve and not fade the memory of the poet, but above all so that the traces of this precious Elogio, the text is reprinted in a new, high-quality edition, on Amalfi bambagina paper, with the original text in Italian and a translation in English, and with an ink drawing in the centre specially made by Lorenzo Maria Bottari, a Sicilian painter working in Milan who has already produced works dedicated to Salvatore Quasimodo. The volume opens with a text by Alessandro Quasimodo, son of the Nobel Prize winner.
