The Byzantine New Year is the event with which each year Amalfi descends into its Medieval atmosphere. As usual with his pages, ladies and knights, who set the scene for the coronation of the new Magister of Amalfi Civilization. The Ancient Maritime Republic, together with the adjoining town of Atrani, is confirmed as the scene of an extraordinary historical event that draws on the political greatness of the civitates to offer a carnet of high-profile cultural and spectacular events.
