Amalfi is kissed by the crystalline sea of the Gulf of Salerno, which touches several small beaches and private platforms. We suggest some of the most striking ones.
The widest beach is Marina Grande, equipped and very close to the center. Lively and full of life, it is ideal for those who want to enjoy sunbathing on a beach close to restaurants, bars, two minutes from the Cathedral and stores.
Spiaggia del Duoglio
La spiaggia del Duoglio, distante qualche centinaio di metri dal centro cittadino, è perfetta per chi desidera trascorrere una giornata di relax immerso in un paesaggio davvero unico. Accessible by about 400 steps, on a path surrounded by nature, you will arrive at an area bathed by crystal-clear water with pebbles and reefs. From here it will be possible to take boat trips to beautiful bays that cannot be reached by land.
Santa Croce Beach is located in Vettica Minore, one of Amalfi’s most famous hamlets, which arose in the late Middle Ages around the Church of San Michele. The beach, which takes its name from the ruins of a small church accessed directly from the sea, is not accessible by land. Making the area truly exclusive and unique is a striking natural arch that leads to the Marinella beaches.
The Vite Beach, an enchanting oasis reachable only by sea, is located between Amalfi and Conca dei Marini, a location that makes it even more unique and special. A fascinating landscape characterized by pebbles, rocks, and crystal clear water that protect posidonia and marine life. The beach is named after a lone vine plant that over the years reached a height of 20 meters above sea level and is unfortunately no longer present today. This enchanting place has always been a destination for illustrious personalities and well-known international celebrities, examples include Jakie Kennedy and Richard Gere.
